The edition of the Aachener Zeitung is reported together with the Aachener Nachrichten. In recent years, the two newspapers have lost considerably in circulation. The sold edition has fallen by 39.2 percent since 1998. It currently stands at 99,598 copies. This corresponds to a decrease of 64,238 pieces. The proportion of subscriptions to the sold circulation is 88.8 percent.
